Bursting with excitement

Hello, and welcome to my first ever blog post! It seems silly even writing that, but here I am. For those that don’t know me, I’m Heather and I love to craft! I am a French teacher by day and a dance teacher on the weekends, a mom to three and a wife to a very busy musician who works at a hospital by day. In my free-time (what’s free time?) I love to craft and work with other art mediums.

Windswept Dancer Studio started when I began learning watercolor painting during the pandemic. I started with cards and landscapes. I truly enjoy watercolors, but I have also always loved yarn arts and stitching. I put my love for painting together with my love of stitching and began creating my own cross stitch patterns.

One day, I was gathering the mail for my children and they each had received their subscription boxes for the month. I realized that I wanted a monthly subscription to something other than the mortgage and the utilities! That’s when I dreamt up the WD Pointe Box! I think stitchers would love to get a box of happiness delivered to their door each month that would give them a complete kit and some extra charts - I know I would!

Things moved very quickly after that, and here I am a few weeks later, getting ready to launch my website and my first blog! I hope to make my first Pointe Box available to the public soon. I am waiting for feedback from my Beta testers so I can make sure that this is the absolute best product I can offer. When everything is all set, I can’t wait to share my designs with the world!
